On behalf of the Hong Kong
Society for Quality of Life, I would like to
invite you to participate in the Conference on
Quality of Life Research in Asia, to be held
from 19-21 May 2006, in the Hong Kong Academy
of Medicine, Hong Kong.
The theme of the conference
is Quality of Life Research in Asia. We intend
to set up a platform of sharing and networking
for local and Asian QOL researchers. A number
of speakers from Asian countries will join the
conference and will share with us QOL research
activities in their countries. We have three
sub-themes for this conference: (1) Health related
QOL research and methodology; (2) QOL in rehabilitation
and social services; (3) QOL research in Chinese
Medicine.
At the moment, more than 15
local and overseas experts have already agreed
to give lectures in the plenary and symposium
sessions, and to conduct more in-depth practicum
in the workshop sessions. You may see the details

Free paper sessions are important
elements of the conference. I would like to invite
you to share you QOL researches with us in the
Free Paper sessions. Quantitative researches,
qualitative studies, new theories and thoughts
are all welcome. The HKSoQOL is going to offer
scholarships to young local and Asian researchers
to support their participation in the conference.
Priority will be given to those who have a paper
accepted for presentation in the Free Paper sessions.
In the past years, QOL symposia
and conferences held in Hong Kong were well attended
and the scientific content has been advancing
throughout the years. I believe that this conference
will be another very successful academic activity,
and will be helpful to your clinical and academic
work in the promotion of quality of life of your
clients. Please mark your dairy for the conference
